Rishi Jawaheer, Director of Jawa Group, grew up immersed in the care industry, surrounded by the compassion and dedication that his parents brought to the family’s business. Established in the 1980s, Jawa Group’s first care home operated out of a converted house where the family lived on the top floor. Over the years, the group has grown into a trusted provider of care services, serving older adults with diverse needs. Central to their mission is a familial ethos—treating residents with the same warmth and attentiveness that one would offer to family.
As the second generation to lead Jawa Group, Rishi has embraced technology to enhance care. Starting on their digital journey nine years ago with the transition from paper to digital records, they found that many systems didn’t speak to each other and so they developed Care Vision, a care management system, to streamline operations while preserving human connection. In their search to reduce falls, they sought an acoustic monitoring system and after trying a few, they found the perfect fit with Earzz.
Collaborative Decision-Making
Jawa Group operates a network of care homes, each dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents. When they were introduced to Earzz through a trusted colleague, the team was cautiously optimistic. Past experiences with digital systems had left them skeptical. Many solutions were designed by technologists unfamiliar with the nuances of caregiving, resulting in products that disrupted, rather than enhancing workflows.
Determined to find a solution, Rishi and his team took a collaborative approach. They trialed Earzz at one home, with the frontline team providing feedback. The consensus was clear: Earzz was user-friendly, effective, and aligned with their needs.
Seamless Integration and Responsive Support
The ease of implementation was a testament to the way the Earzz team listened and adapted to feedback from Rishi and his team. From the start, the Earzz team organised a structured onboarding process, tailoring training sessions to the home’s unique needs as well as combining remote guidance with in-person visits. This hybrid approach was welcomed by Jawa Group, balancing efficiency with a personal touch. Rishi shares:
“There were a number of calls before the training to make sure that staff optimised their time. Straight after training day they followed up with guidance and Earzz sent data they’d found.”
While rolling out the system, some challenges arose, for example, the visibility of cables in bedrooms which had the potential to make residents feel monitored and less at home. The Earzz team’s response was fast and addressed the issue by installing discreet clamps that tucked wires out of sight. Rishi shares

This allowed for seamless data sharing, minimising the risk of digital fatigue for staff and allowed the two systems to act as a unified platform for the team to deliver better care. As well as improving efficiency, the smooth integration between Care Vision and Earzz has also helped to reduce digital fatigue for the team, as everything can be streamlined through one app, making it easier to monitor and record activity in both systems.
Transforming Care with Technology
Since adopting Earzz, Jawa Group has seen transformative results. Falls have been completely eliminated in one home and by 90% in another.
Beyond preventing falls, Earzz has improved residents’ quality of life. For example, removing the need for traditional night checks where staff inadvertently disturb sleep. With Earzz monitoring capabilities, staff can provide the same level of vigilance without interrupting rest which gives residents more privacy and dignity and offers their families peace of mind as they can access updates through Care Vision’s app and stay connected to their loved ones’ care.

Rishi’s vision for Jawa Group is all about staying true to the values his parents built the business on while welcoming new ideas that make care even better. Working with Earzz has been a big step forward for keeping residents safe. It shows how technology can bring people together and make care more compassionate.
