People with lived experience co-production

Our co-production group consists of a diverse range of people with lived experience of social care, either drawing on care or providing care. The co-production has two workstreams, one of which is led by Think Local Act Personal (TLAP) and the other one led by Caroline Green, who has set up a local community working group in Catford South London.

The co-production work consist of working groups coming together physically to discuss their views and needs around the use of AI in social care. We also co-produce resources that will help people know their rights around the use of generative AI in their care or the care of someone they support.

Our first co-production event was held at Stanstead Lodge, Catford, South London in May 2024 and brought together 50 people from the local community to learn and discuss AI in the format of a teadance.

Public deliberation

In September 2024, we will be working with Stanford University and YouGov to hold an online deliberation using the Stanford AI Deliberation Platform on generative AI in adult social care. This will be an opportunity to get the inputs and views from a wider UK audience on this essential topic. If you are interested to get involved in this day, please get in touch with Caroline Green, [email protected]
